To facilitate the next stage of our growth we are looking for a Senior Python Engineer (Remote) to join our development team in building our cutting-edge fintech platform, as well as integrating third party APIs. The ideal candidate should be proficient in Python 3, Django and be very familiar with SQL databases, Redis, Celery, REST APIs and AWS.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience developing Python applications
  • Expertise in Django Web Framework
  • Strong experience building RESTful APIs
  • Knowledge in architecture patterns, methods and tooling
  • Excellent teamwork, communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience working in/with the banking, insurance or FinTech industry is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal technical and personal communication skills in English. Proficiency also in Spanish, French or German is preferred

Key responsibilities

  • Developing RESTful APIs with Django Rest Framework
  • Back-end development in Python/Django
  • Creating a global flexible configurable architecture
  • Integrating third-party APIs
  • Usage of database and tools such as PostgreSQL (relational and non-relational) and Redis
  • Working with asynchronous task queues such as Celery
  • Implementing best practices in agile development and continuous delivery
  • Using AWS services
  • Automating testing with PyTest
  • In Git, working with gitflow
  • Working with JIRA, git and agile methodologies
  • Implementing security best practices
